FAQ

01What does personal training at PXM Fitness actually involve?

PXM personal training pairs you with a dedicated coach for 50-minute one-on-one sessions built around your goals, fitness level, and lifestyle. Your coach provides a personalized workout program, hands-on technique coaching, progress tracking and performance assessments, plus nutrition and lifestyle guidance, all built into a structured, goal-driven program rather than a generic routine.

02Is personal training good for beginners, or only for specific goals?

Both. Because every program is individualized to your background and aspirations, personal training works whether you are brand new to structured exercise or training toward a specific goal like strength, fat loss, or athletic performance. Your coach adjusts programming and form correction to your current level and helps you progress without plateauing.

03How much does personal training cost at PXM Fitness?

PXM membership starts at $199/month; visit our rates page for full membership pricing. Personal training is structured around 1-on-1, semi-private, or online coaching options, and a coach will walk you through the right package for your goals during a free consultation.

04Where is PXM Fitness located?

We are at 5757 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660, in the Edgewater neighborhood on Chicago's north side, a short trip from Andersonville, Rogers Park, and Uptown.

05How are personal training sessions structured?

Sessions run 50 minutes and follow a structured, goal-driven program: your coach builds a bespoke workout plan, corrects your form in real time, and runs ongoing performance evaluations so your plan evolves as you progress. Nutrition protocols and goal setting are folded in for a holistic approach.

06Can I train with PXM if I do not live near Edgewater, or prefer not to come in person every time?

Yes. Alongside in-person 1-on-1 and semi-private sessions at our Edgewater location, we offer Online Training with a personalized program you can follow anywhere, plus a "Dual Model" that combines a standard PXM membership with remote programming for members who want both the facility and additional digital coaching.
