FAQ

01What does FRC-based mobility training involve?

Our mobility class is inspired by Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), a trademarked system of controlled articular rotations, PAILs/RAILs end-range work, and joint control drills. Instead of static stretching, you actively build strength and control through your full range of motion, so the mobility you gain is usable, not just passive flexibility.

02Who is mobility and FRC training for?

Mobility classes work for lifters chasing deeper squats and overhead positions, athletes recovering from stiffness or old injuries, and anyone who sits most of the day and wants their joints to feel better. No FRC experience is required - coaches scale every drill to your current range and build from there.

03How is mobility training different from yoga?

They complement each other. Yoga at PXM emphasizes breath, body awareness, and flowing range of motion, while FRC-based mobility work targets specific joints with isolated control and end-range strength drills. Many members do both as part of the same wellness and recovery routine.

04How much do mobility classes cost?

Membership, which includes mobility classes alongside group training and specialty programming, starts at $199/month. You can also drop in to a single mobility class for $30 with no membership required. Full details are on our rates page.

05Where are mobility classes held?

Classes run out of our Edgewater facility at 5757 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660, a few blocks from the Red Line Bryn Mawr stop and easy to reach from Andersonville, Rogers Park, and Uptown.

06How do I get started with mobility training?

Book a free consultation and a coach will run a short movement assessment, talk through your goals, and point you toward the right mix of mobility, yoga, and specialty classes to start with.
