Why Working Hard Isn’t Always Enough
There’s a frustrating truth about fitness: you can show up, do the work, and still not see the results you want.
Sometimes the scale doesn’t move. Sometimes you feel like you're stuck in the same routine, unsure if anything's actually improving. Other times, you do see changes but you're not sure what caused them or how to keep them going.
Progress without clarity leads to burnout. And clarity is exactly what progress coaching is designed to provide.

At PXM, we take progress coaching seriously because we know it makes the difference between short-term effort and long-term change.
What Is Progress Coaching, Really?
Progress coaching isn’t a motivational pep talk. It’s a structured approach to understanding where you’re starting, where you’re headed, and how to adjust along the way.
Here’s what that looks like at PXM:
- Initial InBody Scan and Goal Setting: We begin by learning about you—your current fitness level, body composition, goals, limitations, and lifestyle. We use tools like the InBody Scan to measure body fat, muscle mass, hydration, and other important markers that go far beyond the number on the scale.
- Individualized Planning: Based on your scan and conversation with your coach, we work with you to set personalized goals. These can be physical (gain muscle, lose fat, improve endurance), emotional (feel more confident), or behavioral (train 3 times per week, improve recovery).
- Ongoing Tracking: Progress coaching doesn’t stop after week one. We track how your body and performance respond over time. That includes follow-up scans, performance milestones, and check-ins with your coach. If things are going well, we celebrate and push further. If things stall, we pivot.
- Context and Conversation: Numbers alone don’t tell the whole story. Your coach will ask about stress, sleep, nutrition, and your schedule. Because if you’re not progressing, there’s always a reason and we want to understand it, not ignore it.
Why This Approach Matters
Most gyms leave you to figure things out on your own. You sign up, show up, and hope for the best.
At PXM, we believe guidance is just as important as the workout itself.
Progress coaching means you're not just following a routine. You’re following a roadmap. And more importantly, you’re not doing it alone.

This structure helps our members stay consistent because they know what they’re working toward, how they’re doing, and what needs to change when something isn’t working.
It removes guesswork. It removes frustration. And it builds momentum.
A Coach Who’s Invested in Your Journey
Your progress coach is more than an instructor. They’re your guide, sounding board, and accountability partner.
They’ll help you reframe setbacks, adjust your goals as you evolve, and keep you focused when life gets messy. Whether you’re training for a specific event, trying to lose weight, or just want to feel better in your body, your coach is there to walk the journey with you.
And because they’re tracking your progress every step of the way, they’re able to support you with insight, not just encouragement.
Real Change Happens When You Track the Right Things
Progress coaching shifts the focus away from generic goals and toward personal wins.
It helps you stop chasing perfection and start building patterns that last.

You don’t have to wonder whether it’s working. You’ll see it. You’ll feel it. You’ll understand why.
And that’s what makes it sustainable.
