PN-L1 and CF-L2
I have always been athletic from the moment I could walk. I danced for over 20 years with ballet being my focus, rode horses for a decade, played soccer on and off in middle and high school and tried to dabble in basketball but was always too afraid that I would break my glasses. Somewhere in my late teens, early 20's I lost my way for quite a bit of time. Flash forward to my mid 30's while I was working my way through a 12 step program of recovery, I started to notice how important physical fitness was to improving my mental health. I got into CrossFit, got in the best shape of my life and decided to open up my own non profit where I taught functional fitness to folks and their families in recovery on a donation base only. I got my CF-L1 and CF-L2 in the same year and haven't looked back since. Life has a way of giving me many detours but I always return to my body and how keeping healthy is my number 1 priority.
My turning point was when I hit my "rock bottom" while in active addiction. I had become a shell of my true self and stopped be a fun, vibrant, caring, funny person. I had given up on myself and realized that feeling like that wasn't sustainable for me anymore. We all have our things we do in the shadows that we don't really want everyone else to see in fear of their judgement. I was tired of hiding out in darkness and decided I wanted to walk in the sunlight again. With a lot of hard work upfront and a program of daily maintenance, I get to spread my message of hope to anyone who wants to receive it.
My motivation for coaching is YOU! Literally, anyone who walks into PXM, I thrive to have a shared experience with them that is positive and feels like we both walk away better. Say you come into the gym and you got engaged the night before, I want to celebrate you by cheering you on and pushing you a little harder that day so we can use that elation for good! Maybe you crawl into the gym, not quite awake yet, not wanting to talk, and that's ok too. We've all been there. That's when a gentle hello and a reminder that I am there if you need me is all you require that day. I want us to trust each other so I can know how best to coach you as an individual because we all want results that are everlasting. I have a servant mind and just want to make you happier, healthier and stronger of mind and body.
