CrossFit represents functional variety displayed in various bouts of intensity.
At PXM we strive to incorporate many of the core elements of CrossFit in a way that enables us to grow and improve physically while still maintaining safety. We try to safely highlight and incorporate the basic human movements; squatting, pulling, pressing, jumping, lifting …
In doing so we try to incorporate different variations and individuality to each one of our workouts. Every class will be different in the experience yet consistent with improving an individual's overall physical performance.
CrossFit is a great mix of strength work, high and low skill gymnastics, and general conditioning and endurance.
What to expect?
All of our CrossFit Classes are coach-led and follow a planned progression roughly 60 minutes in duration and follow this basic structure:
Specialized and detailed Warm up approach
Short to long duration workout pieces depending on the intended stimulus for the day.
Workouts can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and certain mechanics in order to scale to the experience and fitness levels of any individual, be it a total fitness beginner or elite competitive CrossFitter.
A certified Coach will guide you through warming up, followed by movement instruction and demonstration for the workout. The Coach will supervise and correct any movement performed by you during the workout.
At least 3 months of Crossfit experience to sign up for Drop in or Monthly Plan.
If you have no experience then you are eligible for our On Ramp Month where we will assess your current fitness level and teach you the foundations needed to join these Classes.
